THE FORGOTTEN BEAVERS...
Every moment I set my eyes through that window pane..All I could see was them..making mortar, building those brick blocks , fixing the wooden frames, welding , shaping the granites ..from dawn to dusk ! They get so much into the work , so determined to build that house in accordance with the design.
People in the same trade have all got their names and decoration , like:Engineer, Architect, Interior designer! But who owns the house for now!? The owner? May be it's the owner who has the right over it..but then I can see these men indulged in different tasks , work whole day , live in the same partially built house which is not just their workplace but home for now. ..home for that span of time till their contract is done. When people look, they seem to be dirty and that's because they deal with mud and sand..We tend to call them filthy , never remembering the effort they have put into build our houses and palaces...We claim those as our houses but those were their home at first. .they owned them in the initial progress of the building, along with all the dust and debris...but once their role is done ,I won't comment if we keep them not so close..but it isn't so fair when we ignore their faces and turn back at their smiles..may be they smile because they think that we were their masters once .
Once the initial stages of building a house completes ....then on..... they step out and look at its future progress like strangers...they see that finest exterior decorations and admire the basic part they played in it once..but at times we conveniently forget to invite them for the 'house warming 'ceremony to assess the interiors too..for us they were just a part of our cost when budgetting the house while they made our dream into reality , they built our houses which in the yesteryears were just a fantasy and plan in our minds ..
Perhaps the creation of the house first came into the imagination of an Engineer..but that idea would have remained just an imagery if not been executed without these skillful souls..they build our dining rooms while their packed tiffin need not require a dining area..they build our toilets and they rush into to the woods for their basic needs....the luxurious bathrooms are just build by them while they stay low with alot dirt stuck on to their bodies..I could hear them crooning while cementing those bricks ..they build houses for their masters and roam in the streets without an abode to live. I prefer to call them our dream executors...may be considerd low and down by the rest...But they still survive not cribbing about what they haven't been gifted in life . Still not complaining when we dont smile back..
Keeping in mind the fact that they have sweated and worn out a lot in the luxurious house we live in..I wonder why not to offer them a genuine approach may be by supporting the amenities that can improve their living conditions ...and raising voice for these set of people who spent their lives building our houses .
And now that these thoughts have passed my mind , next time when I see someone bathed in mortar and sweat I would honour him as someone who is fulfilling another's dream....
