The final year (fifth sem)  students of journalism and mass communication of Lovely Professional university, Punjab are all enthralled on high-spirits to note the success of their internship program June-July 2016.


From the presentations and internship examination that took place on 20th of August 2016, it is evident a fact that students who joined as interns in different institution proved their mettle in the most impressive manner as expected.



Stephanie Matra from Zambia who interned in "The Times of Zambia" goes chatty about her work experience in the organization. She says it was one of the most challenging but interesting phase of her academics. " I was send to courts to collect civil and crime cases, hearing court verdicts were part and parcel of the job, I had to pen down reports every day of every single case I hear. To approach the gatherings, talk to personnel, listen to every sides of a story were all novel things I learnt from this period " she adds

Arpitha Srivastava
Arpita Srivastava hailing from Lucknow is indeed proud to be a part of the prestigious media houses "The Times of India" and  "The Hindustan Times", Lucknow. She recollects it as tough and easy equally to be a part of any media house. " I was rejected many at times". she chuckles. " from the experience that  Arpita narrated It was clear cut that the bliss showered upon when the articles that she pen gets published is quite an ecstatic state.

Students Submitted a detailed report on their internship activities with certificates ; all prepared for the Viva. Questions were shot and swift were the answers.


Agnes Almasy, Tanzania
Agnes Almasy from Tanzania too shared her experience on working with a Tanzania regional Channel to be the most remembered and learned fragment of her life. She says, "The channel offered me a job, They said the doors of our media house are always open for you, I literally cried of happiness that day ".





AND TODAY...THE INTERVIEWS ARE ON...!!!!


Various Companies and media houses visit the Department of Journalism to recruit students  in their respective channels and media areas. From the internship pace to the interview pace ; students call it their greatest achievement.
